Welcome Back, McArthur Mustang Families!
I am excited to welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year at McArthur High School! As we begin this new chapter together, I want to take a moment to reflect on our shared purpose and the exciting road ahead.
At McArthur, we are committed to preparing our students for college, careers, and life by making learning engaging, accessible, and meaningful. Everything we do is grounded in three core values: academic excellence, a caring school culture, and meaningful student experiences.
This year, our theme is "Bring Your "A" Game!" It is more than a slogan - it's a mindset. This theme reflects our commitment to excellence in everything we do - academics, athletics, arts. We are encouraging every scholar to show up with their best effort, attitude, and energy in everything they do, whether it's in the classroom, on the field, or in the community.
I also want to take a moment to celebrate a big win!! Thanks to the hard work of our students, teachers, and staff, McArthur has moved from a C to a B school rating! That's a huge accomplishment, and I couldn't be prouder. Now, we are setting our sights even higher as we work together to earn an A.
To help us get there, we are focusing on what we call A-B-A:
Attendance - Being present every day, arriving to school and class on time. This helps maximize learning and limits lost instructional time. Behavior - Following school rules and policies while showing respect, responsibility, and positive character. Academics - When students show up and do the right thing, academic success follows.Mark P. Howard, Principal
